Founded in Granby in the school year 1959 - 1960, the organization is always
under the responsibility of a monk, brother of the Sacré Coeur.

As it is about a work of voluntary help, an exchange of good services
exist between the Collège Mont-Sacré-Coeur on the one hand, and the Harmony Youth
in addition.

The Harmony Youth gathers, at each year, nearly a hundred
young people eager to learn the instrumental music and to live one experiment of life of team. The harmony is corporative with goal nonlucrative as well as an organization of charity recognized.

In order to achieve its goals, it puts all works about it for:

1 - To discover the young people who have provisions for the instrumental music of group.

2 - To give to these young people the possibility of developing their musical aptitudes.

3 - To support intellectual, sensory and emotional blooming of the individual in he making known basic, by developing its sensitivity and in him providing a valid means of expression which makes it active.

4 - To prevent unhooking and to fight the delinquency while giving to teenagers advisability of spending their energies while developing their musical and artistic aptitudes.

5 - To develop the taste of the musical culture among members and on the level of all layers of the company by cultural and social representations.

6 - To allow the young people to live an experiment of life of group in accustoming to a team work and a shared responsibility.

7 - To create among members, by rounds and exchanges, the possibility
to widen their horizons and better overall picture of the universe
in which we live.

8 - To provide to the worker of tomorrow an artistic and cultural pastime so
to usefully occupy the many free moments of its life of adult.
